I wanted to find something that combined public health with a medically focused team, which is exactly what I found through this team. We are currently involved in the hypertension crisis in rural Honduras by finding culturally cognizant interventions to help alleviate this problem. Are there any other research related activities you participate(d) in?: No Answer one of the following two questions about being a UROP Leader or your UROP background. : How has UROP impacted your time at FSU? Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided.: The Global Health Collaboration Project has introduced me to the real-life application of public health intervention and analysis. They have introduced me to concepts such as culturally cognizant intervention and the foundations to intricate and productive teamwork. As a result of working through the challenges of rural medicine, I have found a new trajectory on my future goal of working with uninsured and rural communities.
