Events

Research Day offers an opportunity for Garnet and Gold Scholar Society students, graduating seniors, and Honors in the Major students to give an oral presentation on their research in a smaller, more personalized setting. 

The President's Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence is the culmination of the Summer Research Award experience. These awards are a reflection of the University's and donor's commitment to developing students as scholars and innovators and are a testament to the stimulating education undergraduates receive at Florida State.

The Global Scholars Showcase is the culmination of the Global Scholars Program experience. The Global Scholars are a group of students who connect global issues to the local community through an 8-week internship in the Global South. Students work with organizations in Latin America, Africa, and Asia to engage in research in their field. The Showcase exhibits each student's year-long project and shares their portfolio of achievement.

The Student Innovation Celebration is a series of research and innovation events at Florida State University that spans two weeks in the spring. One of the key events is the CRE-sponsored Undergraduate Research Symposium. 

The Undergraduate Research Symposium is an annual showcase for undergraduate student researchers to present their work to the university community. The symposium is an interdisciplinary event that showcases research and creative activities from across campus. Hundreds of student researchers, including those from the FSU's Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), will present their work as oral and poster presentations.
