Spring Events

The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is hosted in late February. FURC is one of the largest multi-disciplinary research conferences in the country. Students attending FURC will have the opportunity to showcase their own research and connect with students conducting research at other Florida institutions. The Undergraduate Research Symposium is an annual showcase for undergraduate student researchers to present their work to the university community. The symposium is an interdisciplinary event that showcases research and creative activities from across campus. Hundreds of student researchers, including those from the FSU's Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), will present their work as oral and poster presentations. The Global Scholar Sendoff is an event that celebrates the next phase for Global Scholars. Global Scholars wrap up their coursework that prepares them to do ethical research in the Global South. Before they board their plane, though, they must receive their coveted Global Scholars T-shirt to proudly represent their program while abroad.
