This project investigates how U.S. law schools administer and regulate academic accommodations, with particular focus on exam-related adjustments such as extended time. The research explores questions of fairness, professional preparedness, and institutional policy variation. We will survey all American Bar Associated-accredited law schools to better understand how accommodation decisions are made, whether limits are imposed, how prior accommodations influence current eligibility, and whether targeted skill-building support accompanies accommodations. This project will contribute to ongoing discussion about how law schools can best prepare students for long-term professional development while maintaining academic integrity and fairness in curve-based assessment.
