Overall Research Project Description: This project investigates how U.S. law schools administer and regulate academic accommodations, with particular focus on exam-related adjustments such as extended time. The research explores questions of fairness, professional preparedness, and institutional policy variation. We will survey all American Bar Associated-accredited law schools to better understand how accommodation decisions are made, whether limits are imposed, how prior accommodations influence current eligibility, and whether targeted skill-building support accompanies accommodations. This project will contribute to ongoing discussion about how law schools can best prepare students for long-term professional development while maintaining academic integrity and fairness in curve-based assessment. Research Tasks: Data Collection for recruitment and participation Survey distribution Literature Review on accommodations in higher education and professional programs Content Analysis Descriptive Data Analysis and visualizations Research synthesis Skills that research assistant(s) may need:: Work with confidential information.
