Mentoring Philosophy: My mentoring philosophy is centered on intentionality, clarity, and transparency. I consider these elements foundational to strong mentor–mentee relationships, especially within collaborative projects. I believe that providing the right balance of guidance while encouraging independence empowers mentees to develop both confidence and competence. To support this, I strive to create a welcoming and encouraging environment that prioritizes open and transparent communication. I value providing training and low-risk practice before applying new skills to intended tasks, modeling processes, and explaining the “why”. I encourage reflection and offer constructive feedback. Through this approach, I aim to help mentees engage actively in the research process and develop skills that will serve their future endeavors.
