My current research focus is on fatal transgender violence. This research is an advocacy effort to highlight the causes of transgender violence and uplift transgender lives. I also have experience working in governmental research with energy and climate equity issues.

How do you hope to impact your students as a UROP Leader?
As a UROP leader, I hope to inspire my students to understand the importance of research in the social science fields. Students often think of research being in a lab and science based, but I hope my students can understand through my class that advocacy and research can be more that! I also hope to give them a mentor throughout their experience at Florida State, a connection to have in the future, and someone to expose them to all the resources our university has to offer!
