This study aims to delve into the dynamics of brand activism advertising, consumer perceptions, and behaviors, with a particular emphasis on differentiating its effects on hedonic and utilitarian brands. Through this project, I aim to contribute to filling these gaps by providing a more nuanced understanding of how brand activism influences consumer reactions. By examining the diverse impacts of brand activism on different categories of brands, we seek to advance knowledge in this area and inform practical strategies for brands engaging in activism. Are there any other research related activities you participate(d) in?: {Empty} Answer one of the following two questions about being a UROP Leader or your UROP background. : How has UROP impacted your time at FSU? Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided.: As a freshman, I never imagined that participating in UROP would have such a profound impact on my life. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program, as it has transformed me in more ways than I could have anticipated. When the time came to choose my research project, I reached out to numerous graduate students and professors via email. At that time, I was in the process of changing my major and felt uncertain about what direction to take. I discovered projects both in my former major of Human Development and Family Sciences and in Communications, which I had recently switched to. Despite being denied the Human Development and Family Sciences project due to my change in major, I ultimately chose to pursue the communications-based project instead. This project was unfamiliar territory for me, and it played a pivotal role in my decision to revert to my previous major. It set me on a path of self-discovery and helped me clarify my aspirations, ultimately guiding me toward a better understanding of what I want to pursue in life. Though I wasn't initially passionate about the project, I dedicated myself to it. Through this commitment, I learned valuable research skills and gained insights into both research methods and current events. These newfound skills have reshaped my view of research. I now recognize its significance in gaining insights into the world and have a greater appreciation for it. This experience changed my view of research after I was able to see the incredible ways it can be used for any field or type of information. Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share: I am on a Pre-Occupational Therapy track, and I am on the executive board of the Pre PT/OT club. I love to dance and hang out with friends especially those in my sorority Alpha Delta Pi!
