What is your current research focus?

My current research focus is in communications, specifically on the horror video game Until Dawn and its various types of horror. We seek to answer whether it's all jump scares through content coding and analysis. If you want to learn more, feel free to ask me! In the future, I will be beginning a research project alongside my mentor to study the lengths of Wendigo Psychosis in video games, and I hope to begin an Honors in the Major thesis in sociology.

I hope to provide my UROP students with what they need to succeed in the program. I want to be someone that my students can depend on and learn from. I've been here for a long time, and I can provide some input and advice for new students or even second years. There is so much to learn from FSU, whether it's research or just personal life, and I want to impact my students' lives through listening, being present, and understanding. In my UROP colloqium experience, I loved my leaders and considered them to be a helpful presence when I needed it.

Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share

I am on the pre-law track, interested in family law and children's rights. In my free time, I take care of and play with my puppy, create jewelry, and play video games. Additionally, I am incredibly involved in the Undergraduate Law Review, The Kudzu Review, Alpha Phi Omega, the HSAA mentorship program, and, of course, UROP. I enjoy everything that I do!
