Mentoring Philosophy: To me, the mentoring relationship starts with good and open communication and mutual respect. By having open and honest communication between all parties allows for work to be done efficiently and also allows the mentee to feel as if their voice is being heard. I also strive to ensure that my mentees can go about their time in UROP and conduct research with clear and obtainable goals in mind-whether that be research or mentee goal specific. Thus, it is important to me to foster a safe and inclusive environment that allows the mentee to build upon their skills and become better versions of themselves as humans and as researchers.
