research_tasks_for_student_research_assistant_s_: 'The student will be responsible for a variety of tasks along the duration of the project. A 7 degree half-angle cone will be designed and manufactured. The design features include maximizing the length of the model, instrumentation ports and tunnel interface. The proper diagnostic tools will be selected and set up in the PSWT. Possible diagnostic tools include: Pressure Sensitive Paint (PSP), schlieren flow visualization, surface pressure sensors and other optical flow diagnostic methods. The student will then perform experiments in the PSWT and analyze the data. Results will be compared to the literature.'
