I am not currently conducting research but the lab I was previously a member of was researching the effects of climate change on urban watersheds in Florida. The project revolved around studying storm runoff and its contents as well as how an increased amount of stormwater runoff will affect ecosystems and infrastructure.

How do you hope to impact your students as a UROP Leader?
I hope that I am able to help students get as much out of UROP as I did when I was a student. UROP is a great to get involved in undergraduate research and helps to develop certain skills not learned in the classroom. Whether students decide to continue to participate in research or focus more on going straight into industry after the class, UROP will certainly have helped to mold them into a well rounded student.
