| What is your current research focus? | I completed UROP with a research focus in comparing resistance to endurance training. Post-menopausal women were physically evaluated, fat biopsied, and put through a micro dialysis regimen before being allocated to a 12 week endurance or resistance training regimen. After the 12 weeks were complete, the women would be evaluated in the same measures again. We then tested the cells taken from fat deposits for adipose tissue, as well as the interstitial fluid taken from cells during micro dialysis to determine if fat metabolism was improved better when resistance or endurance training. |

| Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided. | I hope to impact my students as a UROP leader through supporting their each and every research need. I hope to pass along the wisdom and skills I learned through UROP and inspire my students to take full advantage of this incredible opportunity. I want them to feel as though they have guidance through each step of the UROP process and provide them with as many resources as I can to build them into sophisticated researchers. My students should be fully confident in their researching abilities and ready for their next step at FSU by the time they are presenting in the symposium. |
