What is your current research focus?:
I am working on an Honors in the Major project in History looking at how U.S. federal agencies were one of the first major consumers of geographic information systems (GIS) technologies because of new regulations from the 1970 National Environmental Policy Act.

Are there any other research related activities you participate(d) in?:
My UROP project at the Florida Resources and Environmental Analysis Center (FREAC) analyzed the relationship between housing type and willingness to evacuate during natural disasters in the Florida Panhandle.

UROP allowed me to explore fields outside my major, which led to new interests and opportunities! I came to FSU as a History major with an interest and minor in Urban Planning, but through my UROP project at FREAC, I got to work with ArcGIS apps and was exposed to geographic information science. Since then, I've taken classes as a part of FSU's Bachelor's to Master's pathway program in GIS which has opened up a lot of doors for me.

I am a part of the FSU Equestrian Club and Her Campus FSU!
