  mentoring_philosophy: 'Providing timely advising and generous mentoring for students on their research is an important aspect of my commitment to student development. I take a developmental mentoring approach. During the initial process, I help students to familiarize themselves with relevant literature and engage them in IRB training. These activities help them connect with the literature and the research team. With the passage of time, I assign more responsibilities in data collection, analysis, and writing.
