Mentoring Philosophy My mentoring philosophy is grounded in mutual respect, open communication, and collaborative learning. I aim to meet students where they are by identifying their strengths and supporting their goals—academic, personal, and professional. I encourage students to take ownership of their work while providing consistent support and constructive feedback. Mistakes are embraced as learning opportunities, and inquiry is central to our work. I believe in cultivating a safe, inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and student voices are central to the research process. I’m committed to helping students grow in confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and engage meaningfully in scholarly work that connects with their identities and communities.
