Overall Research Project Description:
The goal of this project is to conduct interviews with NICU moms, nurses, and lactation consultants to generate data to inform apparel design decisions for breastfeeding and kangaroo care garments to be used within NICU environments. 

Research Tasks:
Conducting interviews, coding data, data transcription, prototype creation

Skills that research assistant(s) may need::
Required: interview/ interpersonal skills, organization
Recommended: sewing, patternmaking 

Mentoring Philosophy:
As a mentor I encourage students to join in the fun of conducting research. Allowing students to create their own path and explore their own ideas while participating in a larger research project. I always encourage students to think about how involvement in research might benefit their long term career goals.
