Two different NIH-funded projects:
1) Development of lipid nanoparticles for drug delivery.
Optimize the lipid nanoparticles to stabilize drugs and enable efficient drug delivery.
2) Investigation of protein aggregation associated with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS, and type-2 diabetes.
Carry out biophysical experiments such as fluorescence, dynamic light scattering, and NMR experiments.

Participants are expected to carry out sample preparation and experiments. Also, expected to read the relevant literature.
Basics chemistry/biochemistry or biomedical engineering or Physics. Previous experience is desirable.
Participants will be trained and guided with each tasks to successfully carry out the assigned project. Data interpretation and critical thinking will given importance in training the participants to become independent researchers. One-on-one interaction and mentoring will be provided. Opportunities to present the research in the group meetings and conferences will be created. In addition, weekly group meetings focus to brainstorm the concepts and impacts.
