I did an extensive, year-long research project on safety procedures that public schools in the United States take to prevent gun violence. I am continuing to expand this research through my Honors in the Major thesis.
I worked on research surrounding fatal transgender violence, where I assisted in creating a database to bring light to some of the cases that don't get attention from the media
How has UROP impacted your time at FSU?
UROP has brought me pure joy, amazing friends, and great opportunities that I would not have otherwise found at FSU. Being a UROP student gave me a plethora of interesting events and ways of participating on campus, and I made close friends that helped me do more. Being part of research again gave me a sense of belonging, and. made me feel like I was doing something for the greater good.
I am the Editor-in-Chief of the FSView & Florida Flambeau and I have a tuxedo cat named Tucker:)
