Currently I am not conducting research, but my research focus would be on psychology, sociology, and health.
I previously conducted research when I participated in the UROP program my freshman year. My research project focused on the history of the Swastika symbol and its meaning over time in different places around the world. From there we later sent out surveys to see what the American public view held on the Swastika and why.
How do you hope to impact your students as a UROP Leader?
I hope to give a lasting impression of the UROP program for my students. As a place where the students can freely discuss their passions and expand on their interests. While keeping the classroom environment respectful, I hope to create an environment where students can make new lasting friendships in and out of the class. By creating a favorable impression of UROP I hope for my students to continue supporting this program and furthering their research interests.
