I hope to inspire my students to keep trying. Regardless of subject, knowledge, or difficulty. Just keep trying. I want my students to understand that they are allowed to make mistakes, so long as they meet three criteria after the fact.
1.) They think about the mistake in order to discover what caused it to occur and learn from it.
2.) They move on from the problem after learning from it. Dwelling on negativity hinders everything and helps nobody.
3.) They try again, using what they learned from their collective mistakes to reshape the way they tackle the problem.
If I can instill these three ideas into my students, they will be unstoppable wherever they go in life.
