What is your current research focus?:
My research is currently in public health as I examine the connection between the events and messaging of the United States as the media continue to spread information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a first generation college student on the pre-med track, I knew that research was a great way to make an impact in the scientific community; however, I didn’t know where to start. As I began UROP that feeling of being lost, confused, and like I don’t belong subsided. UROP has given me the opportunity to enthusiastically explore my interests in a way that feels meaningful. I hope to provide the same for my students. I want to create a space for them to grow and foster their passions through research with guidance from myself and the CRE staff.
