What is your current research focus? My current research focuses on assisting the anthropology department in the development and design of a website to showcase graduate students’ museum exhibits. This project involves organizing and presenting academic and creative work in a way that is both accessible and engaging to a broader audience outside of FSU. Additionally, I am contributing to the planning of the website’s structure, usability, and overall presentation to ensure it effectively highlights the students’ research.
Are there any other research related activities you participate(d) in? I have participated in other research-related activities. In high school, I completed AP Research, where I conducted an independent, long-term research project that involved developing a research question, analyzing sources, and presenting my findings in both written and oral formats. In addition, I have experience supporting other students in the anthropology department by assisting with their projects, offering feedback, and helping them organize and present their work more effectively. These experiences have strengthened my research, collaboration, and communication skills.
Answer one of the following two questions about being a UROP Leader or your UROP background. How has UROP impacted your time at FSU?
Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided. Participating in UROP has had such a positive impact on my time at FSU by giving me early, hands-on research experience as well as helping me find a community. It has helped me build skills in critical thinking, collaboration, and communication, while also allowing me to form meaningful connections with the anthropology department faculty and peers.
Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share I love playing any sports, and I am currently the captain of the ultimate frisbee club team here at FSU. Outside of being active, I love playing video games with my friends and I love art.
