I am also actively involved in Best Buddies, where I promote inclusion and build meaningful relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This past year, I served as the Greek Delegate for my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and I will be stepping into the role of Fundraising Director next year. In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking my dog, and spending time with my friends and family.'

  what_is_your_current_research_focus_: 'My current research focus is the homicide of disabled individuals by caretakers or family members. The goal of this project is to better understand and ultimately prevent such tragedies. My role within the project is to help contribute to building a comprehensive database of known cases in the U.S. over the past several decades. Once completed, this database will serve as an essential resource for tracking these incidents and identifying patterns that could help prevent future occurrences.'
