What is your current research focus? My current research focus is the homicide of disabled individuals by caretakers or family members. The goal of this project is to better understand and ultimately prevent such tragedies. My role within the project is to help contribute to building a comprehensive database of known cases in the U.S. over the past several decades. Once completed, this database will serve as an essential resource for tracking these incidents and identifying patterns that could help prevent future occurrences.

Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided. I hope to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident exploring research and asking questions. As a UROP leader, I want to help students build critical thinking skills, gain hands on experience, and see themselves as capable researchers. Ultimately, I hope to inspire curiosity and make research feel accessible and meaningful.

Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share Outside of UROP, I currently serve as a Student Senator representing the College of Arts and Sciences in the Student Government Association, where I advocate for student needs and work to improve campus initiatives. I am also actively involved in Best Buddies, where I promote inclusion and build meaningful relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This past year, I served as the Greek Delegate for my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and I will be stepping into the role of Fundraising Director next year. In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking my dog, and spending time with my friends and family.
