What is your current research focus?:
My research experience has focused on the project “The AI Diary ABCs: Active Use, Beliefs, and Casual Encounters,” which examined how individuals interacted with artificial intelligence in their everyday lives. This included exploring how people used AI, their beliefs about it, and how it appeared in casual, daily encounters. While I am not currently involved in a research project, I am interested in pursuing an direct individual study under my second major in the College of Social Work in the future, with a focus on topics that align more closely with my interests in working with adolescents and understanding the impact of lived experiences.
Are there any other research related activities you participate(d) in?:
In addition to my research experience through UROP, I presented my research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium and was selected to speak about my research by the Dean’s Advisory Committee for the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences during my time in UROP.
Answer one of the following two questions about being a UROP Leader or your UROP background. : How do you hope to impact your students as a UROP Leader?
Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided.:
As a UROP Leader, I want my students to feel like they belong in research spaces, even before they feel fully confident in their abilities. I know how it feels to step into something new and question yourself, so I want to be intentional in creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, being honest about what they don’t understand, and growing through that process. I hope to guide my students in developing not only research skills, but also confidence in how they think, communicate, and present themselves. More than anything, I want them to leave knowing that research is something they are capable of, not something reserved for a certain type of student.
Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share:
I am currently on the Pre-Physician Assistant track, with a strong interest in women’s health and working with adolescents who have been impacted by traumatic events in their lives. I am involved with DREAM Inc., previously served as a 2025 Orientation Leader for New Student & Family Programs, and I am currently serving as Miss Mu Epsilon of the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.. I am also a member of the National Society of Black Women in Medicine and the Pre-Physician Assistant Society.
