What is your current research focus? My current research focus is English common law jurisprudence related to the necessity defense and its relationship to present day interpretations of criminal excuse defenses in the American legal system.

Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided. The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) has had a significant impact on my time at FSU. It enabled me to build personal relationships with researchers in my field and explore a research topic that I was interested in. In doing so, I was able to further my understanding of the research process and develop my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, completing UROP greatly assisted me in determining which graduate degree I would like to pursue, as well as what career path to take.
