What is your current research focus?:
My current lab focuses genetics and their evolutionary constraints. We study pleiotropic traits such as, melanin and dopamine production. By investigating these genes and behaviors, we aim to better understand diversity within organisms.

I participated in UROP my freshman year (2022). UROP has provided me with countless opportunities to grow as a student and person. I have met many mentors and peers that share my interests and love of research. I began in the Hughes lab and continue to work as a lab assistant. Within this lab, I have found a great support system with my lab-mates and mentor. 

Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share:
I plan on applying to veterinary school and I work as a vet technician! I love animals and anything outside. I spend my time hiking, fishing, and reading. I l also love to play tennis!
