Project Description
This research aims to implement Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) on the cloud computing server Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS offers a variety of cloud computing services, and the goal is to understand and implement Python code on the AWS servers. The results of the implementation will include performance comparisons, with application in 3D printing simulations. You will be trained on using AWS and PINNs by your supervisor.Research Tasks: 1. Get familiar with AWS.
2. Get familiar with PINNs.
3. Implement Python code for PINNs on AWS
4. Performance comparisons on 3D printing simulations.
Skills that research assistant(s) may need: Some knowledge of calculus (required)
Some familiarity with coding (recommended).
Mentoring Philosophy
Problem-based learning: Real-world problems are complex and multidisciplinary. The problem-based learning approach gives the students a problem they are excited about so that they develop the skills, often interdisciplinary, to solve it.Growth Mindset: A growth mindset encourages embracing challenges, learning from failures, and viewing effort as a path to mastery. This perspective fosters resilience and a love for learning, making it a powerful driver for personal and academic growth.
