What is your current research focus? I am currently an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Lisa Eckel's neuroscience lab. Within her lab, I assist with two research research programs. The first focuses on estradiol's ability to control food intake and regulate body weight in female rodents. The second investigates the effects on neuropeptide secretion on activity-based anorexia.

Are there any other research related activities you participate(d) in? While in UROP my freshman year, my research was a social-based content analysis. We looked into the representation of women in female directed Bollywood films. I was assigned to watch a Bollywood movie each week and then completed surveys on each female character within the film. I worked under Rebecca Peters, PhD candidate in the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Religion.

Answer one of the following two questions about being a UROP Leader or your UROP background. How do you hope to impact your students as a UROP Leader?

Please answer the question you selected above in the area provided. As a UROP leader, I hope to introduce my students into the field of research and help them get their first taste of research. I would like to encourage my students to dive into research that might be out of their field and comfort zone. At the same time, I want my students to find comfort in the classroom and be able to come to me with any questions, academic and personal. Being apart of UROP has been such a highlight of my time at FSU and I hope to carry that forward onto the future FSU students.

Please list any other hobbies or interests you would like to share I love spending time with friends and family and going on random side quests. I also love traveling, playing volleyball, and trying new food places!
