  selected_response: "I hope to provide my UROP students with what they need to succeed in the program. I want to be someone that my students can depend on and learn from. I've been here for a long time, and I can provide some input and advice for new students or even second years. There is so much to learn from FSU, whether it's research or just personal life, and I want to impact my students' lives through listening, being present, and understanding. In my UROP colloqium experience, I loved my leaders and considered them to be a helpful presence when I needed it."

  what_is_your_current_research_focus_: "My current research focus is in communications, specifically on the horror video game Until Dawn and its various types of horror. We seek to answer whether it's all jump scares through content coding and analysis. If you want to learn more, feel free to ask me! In the future, I will be beginning a research project alongside my mentor to study the lengths of Wendigo Psychosis in video games, and I hope to begin an Honors in the Major thesis in sociology. "
