Spring, 2026
This past year I was involved with historical research under Dr. Andrew Frank, the director of the Indigenous Studies Center here at FSU. The project explored the connection between the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Miss Seminole Pageant and FSU's Homecoming events. I hope to pursue more sociological research in the future, along with a potential independent research study.

How do you hope to impact your students as a UROP Leader?
I hope to assist in guiding new UROP students through the complicated and potentially overwhelming research process. Made up of mostly freshmen, it can be difficult to adjust to college life and the extracurriculars. With the added stressor of research, a process that most freshmen are unfamiliar with, it can be difficult to manage time and efficiently complete work. Acting as a mentor/facilitator and guide, I hope to make the UROP process easy and comprehensible!
