I am currently interested in any research regarding disease, medicine, and the human body and its functioning.

Previously, I was a research assistant under Pooja Ichplani on a project concerned with intimate partner violence, stigma, and help-seeking behaviors.

How has UROP impacted your time at FSU?

Entering FSU as a freshman, I was too shy to cold email any of my professors to ask about their research. Thus, UROP made research more accessible to me as an undergraduate by making the process of joining a research project less intimidating. Through UROP, I was able to learn about how I could contribute to research despite my level of knowledge and lack of experience. I was able to gain and grow skills that I would have otherwise been unable to work on. It has made research more accessible to me as an undergraduate, making me more willing to reach out to faculty and staff about participating in their projects. Additionally, participating in the research symposium as a freshman increased my comfortability and confidence in public speaking, which had previously been an area I struggled with.
