Project Description
Paraclimbing is becoming more popular as a form of exercise for those with disabilities. We will explore the fabrication of special holds to aid these individuals, either through the addition of sensors and signals, or by improving the holds themselves through ergonomic design. Students will learn CAD, 3-d printing, Injection Molding, Vacuum Forming and other related fabrication skills. If need be, we can also get into electronics and coding together.Research Tasks: Prototype development and testing will be required.
Skills that research assistant(s) may need: CAD, climbing experience, knowledge of coding/Arduino, are all preffered, but not essential.
