Project Description

FSU has had a mandate which requires transfer students who earn a 2.0 GPA after their first semester to enroll in an academic success course to aid in their recovery. This study will use qualitative interviews to explore the experiences of students in the class and what their perception of probation, the course, and challenges that led them toward academic probation are.

Mentoring Philosophy

Supporting mentees in building their research confidence, pushing them out of their comfort zone, and engaging in thought-provoking and important work. I believe in empowering mentees to be curious and allow them to fail and learn from their mistakes.
