Project Description
The goal of the project is to understand the superconducting materials including high temperature superconductors of Bi-2212 and REBCO, and low temperature superconductor of Nb3Sn, to address challenges encountered during the magnet development efforts. We will carry out comprehensive characterizations to understand the materials and provide conductor information to the magnet designer and the conductor manufacturers to further improve conductor performance.Research Tasks: The task covers literature review, data collection and data analysis. The students will work in the lab and in the office.
