Project Description
Meta-analysis involves quantitatively combining the results of all of the studies in the literature on a given topic. It is used in almost every area of science. It typically gives results that are more valid and replicable than are results from a single study. A drawback to using meta-analysis is that it can be time consuming to complete one. Recently, researchers are looking into using artificial intelligence (AI) programs to assist with meta-analysis. We are interested in evaluating how well artificial intelligence programs perform at meta-analysis and how they can optimally be used.Research Tasks: Literature review to look for examples of use of AI programs in meta-analysis. Participating in studies that involve application of AI programs to tasks that are carried out for completing a meta-analysis. Data analysis to evaluate how well the AI programs perform.
Skills that research assistant(s) may need: Interest in working with AI programs is required. Previous experience in use of AI programs is desirable.
