Project Description

Little research exists on relationship between relationship status and identity development in women. This is a large-scale study encompassing women in a wide range of relationship types and with varying demographics, providing more information about how women in relationships conceptualize themselves compared to single women. It helps provide future paths of research incorporating these findings, and helps strengthen relationships and individual identity for both partners in any relationship. This is a mixed-methods study incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.

Mentoring Philosophy

As a mentor, I believe in empowering future researchers to understand their interests and achieve their goals. I hope to create a safe environment where mentees can try new things and step out of their comfort zones. I want mentees to feel respected and know they are an integral part of the research being done. If they have any questions or concerns, I hope to offer a place of mutual respect where they can come to either of their research mentors to express them.
