Project Description
This project investigates how the brain processes speech sounds in both native and nonnative speakers. Participants listen to and respond to speech sounds in a quiet testing environment while their brain activity is recorded using noninvasive sensors placed on the scalp. These sensors measure brain responses to sound by capturing hearing-related brain waves.Research Tasks: The RA will be responsible for participant recruitment, data collection and management, data organization, and assisting with data analysis and literature reviews.
Skills that research assistant(s) may need: Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, or similar tools is preferred and considered a plus
