Applications for 2026 open Sept. 1!

The Tyler Center for Global Studies believes that the issues and challenges facing the world today are more global in nature than ever before, and that the key to successfully meeting and overcoming these challenges hinges on an awareness of and appreciate for global solutions. Applicants seeking to fund their global research projects should submit their project proposals by 11:59 pm on February 2nd, 2026 through the IDEA Grants program application.

The Tyler Center is committed to investing in the next generation of trailblazing global citizens by funding research, entrepreneurial, and creative projects taking place outside of the US. FSU students from all majors are welcome to submit research proposals for consideration.

FSU students interested in receiving funding for international research projects through the Tyler Center must apply to the IDEA Grants application by February 2nd, 2026. The application will require a proposal detailing your research project abroad. Click here to access the application

MEET THE TYLER FELLOWS

Since its founding in 2022, the Tyler Center has funded the research of 49 students. These Tyler Fellows have come from diverse majors and backgrounds and have spanned the globe in their travels--from Ecuador to Japan, from Canada to Côte d'Ivoire. It is recommended that applications attend an informational session before submitting their fellowship application. All 2025 Info Sessions will be offered both in-person in HSF Room 3008 and online via Zoom. To attend online, click one of the dates listed below to register for that session, and you will receive the Zoom link via email. If you can't make one of these dates, you can attend an IDEA Grants Info Session to get information on the application process (both programs use the same application).
