Fall Research Day

Fall Research Day provides a small group, personalized research sharing experience, primarily targeted for seniors graduating at the end of the Fall 2016 semester, Honors in the Major students presenting their thesis research, or students who need to culminate the research engagement area for Garnet and Gold Scholar Society. (If this does not apply to you, we encourage you to consider presenting at the Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium in March 2016, which is open to all students). Fall Research Day is interdisciplinary and thus, we welcome applications from all majors (STEM, Social Science, Humanities, Creative & Performing Arts, and so on).

Different from some of our other symposia events, Fall Research Day will be limited to oral presentations only.

The 2016 Fall Research Day will be held Tuesday, November 16th, 2016 in the Honors, Scholars and Fellows House, located in the central portion of campus, adjacent to Landis Green and Strozier Library. The times for the event will be announced in late October; students are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their presentation slot, and strongly encouraged to attend peer presentations.

Applications to present on Fall Research Day can be found by going here.

Applications are due by Monday, October 26, 2016. If chosen to present, you will need to schedule and attend a brief practice presentation session at the Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement, HSF 3rd Floor, to receive any pre-presentation feedback and support. If you have any questions, please email cre@fsu.edu.
